ET Publishes Incorrect Survey Result
2018 GP Patient Survey
The results of the 2018 patient survey have now been published by NHS England. Unfortunately the local papers made a serious error in their reporting of the headline message this year; they used incorrect information and mistakenly ranked the local surgeries with Linden second from bottom. After we contacted them they took down this article however the Practice thought it important to highlight the actual results as there are many encouraging signs. A great deal of hard work has been undertaken by the practice team to improve the service we offer and it is gratifying to see improvements, of course there is always more to do.
The following results were particularly pleasing to read:

Describe their overall experience of this GP practice as good
During 2018, along with other practices, we introduced Care Navigation which is intended to ensure that the patient gets an appointment with the most appropriate service or clinician; unfortunately many of the promised additional services have not so far been made available to us. This is reflected in the relatively poor scores related to making an appointment and the frustration patients feel when not able to see a preferred GP.

Staff Update - Appointment Availability
At Linden we are proud to be a training Practice and we are fortunate to have both Dr Barclay and Dr Spooner who take an active role in training GP Registrars. We are now also once again hosting medical students and a number of our clinicians are involved in their training. It is important that Linden along with other accredited training practices continue to offer this opportunity to doctors at all stages of their training, as without this the current shortage of GP’s will continue. However for this, and other reasons, it does mean that there is often limited availability for bookable appointments with Dr Barclay and Dr Spooner, and accordingly we ask for your patience and understanding if you are unable to book a timely routine appointment with them.
Staff Update - New Salaried GP's
New Salaried GP's
We are happy to announce that two new salaried GP’s will be joining us in the Autumn; Dr Harriet Ashcroft joins us in late September 2018 and will work 4 sessions per week and Dr Camilla Haakonsen who will be joining us in October 2018 and will work 6 sessions per week. We are fortunate that these talented GP’s have chosen Linden to continue their careers.
