Appointments missed in April 2012
A total of 308 appointments were missed by patients for one reason or another during the month of April 2012. These appointments were with all staff, including the doctors, nurses, health visitors, counsellors etc. This staggering number of appointments resulted in 68 hours of time being wasted.
The break down between doctor and nurse appointments is as follows: -
Total number of doctor appointments missed 142 or just over 23 hours
Total number of nurse appointments missed 116 or just over 29 hours
The remaining 47 missed appointments relate to the health visitors, counsellors etc which amounts to almost 16 hours of non productive time.
Here at Linden Medical Group, the staff are keen to assist patients to minimise the number of missed appointments. If it would help, please ask for reminder card when booking future appointments at reception, or register for the SMS text message reminder service.
If you are unable to keep an appointment then please contact the surgery and cancel that appointment. By cancelling, even at short notice you may be allowing your appointment to be reallocated to another patient.
